  • ● You are requested not to confiscate the passports of the Indian worker. If it is kept in the safe custody of the employer, a written consent of the worker must be obtained. The passport must not be kept against the will of the employee and it should be returned immediately when sought. [Passport Act 1966 [Act 150] ]

  • ● A written consent of the worker should be taken before renewing the work permit.

  • ● Unresolved labour complaints from the Indian worker/maid may result in denial of Indian VISA/OCI card or recruiting of Indian workers (through eMigrate/rehiring programs) to the employer/company.
