Before the present assignment she was working at the Ministry of External Affairs of India (MEA) as Director of Cypher, NGO, Vigilance &amp; Inspection (CNV &amp; I) Division.\u00a0 She has a wide experience working in various capacities at MEA \u2013 both at headquarters as well as at Indian Missions abroad. Her prior assignments abroad include Washington D.C (USA), Colombo (Sri Lanka), Muscat (Oman), Havana (Cuba) and Panama City (Panama). She has looked after Bilateral matters, Administration, Establishment, Vigilance, Press, Information and cultural matters etc. during her previous assignments.<\/p><p>She holds a Master\u2019s Degree in Commerce and speaks English, Hindi, Tamil and Spanish.\u00a0 She has varied interests like reading, crafts, art and music. She is married to Mr. P.
