It is pleasure to inform that JPDEPC, one of the textile related Export Promotion Councils, under the Union Ministry of Textiles, in its efforts towards enhancing exports of Indian Jute products, is organizing Reverse Buyer Seller Meet (JUTEXPO 2023) at Gold Acres, P.C. Chandra Garden, Opp. Science City, E.M. Bypass, Kolkata in India on 2nd and 3rd March, 2023 under MAI Scheme of Government of India with the support and assistance from Indian Missions abroad. JUTEXPO 2023 is going to be the 5th edition of the JUTE PRODUCTS only show on earth.The show area increases to 70,000 square feet of display area. This unique trade show will host buyers /buying houses, from all leading countries. They will have a unique opportunity to connect with artisans, manufacturers and global leaders of the JUTE INDUSTRY under one platform. The show works out as an advantage for the buyers as they can visit the manufacturers production facility which is in surrounding areas of Kolkata.

  • To provide in depth knowledge about identification of markets for export. Competitor taste and fashion prevailing and suggest measures.
  • To felicitate leading exporters with awards.
  • To bring artisans at the same platform with the export community & international buyers so that proper hand holding can be done with them .
  • To showcase new trends in JUTE diversified products.

Target Market Of Jute: Long term prospects for developing jute diversified goods exports to focus markets for targeted jute goods remain bright. Indian jute goods exporters have now to concentrate to focus countries in LAC, CIS, WANA, ASIAN + 2 in addition to existing European and North American markets for sale of their jute goods. The main reason for this concentration is that these countries are still largely unexplored and promotion in these countries have been limited.

Location Of The Event: Jute sector, the predominant sector in the Industrial economy of West Bengal has shown a significant improvement in manufacturing and exporting jute bags and other jute lifestyle products. A large number of jute goods producing units, mostly MSME have been set-up in different districts in West Bengal and many of those units are engaged in exporting their jute bags to many countries throughout the world such as USA. UK, SPAIN, NETHERLAND, JAPAN, ITALY. GERMANY, FRANCE, CANADA, UAE, SAUDI ARABIA. CHINA, BRZIL AND AUSTRALIA etc. Exporting units are certified by the International Acceded Agencies, for quality, social accountability and ethical trade.
